Partner Robert D. Gaudioso had the pleasure of introducing the Closing Keynote Speaker, Jessica Zufolo, Deputy Administrator with the Rural Utilities Service for the United States Department of Agriculture, currently on detail to the U.S. Department of Commerce for FirstNet, at the New York State Wireless Association 2015 Tradeshow and Conference in New York City in June. Since March 2014, Ms. Zufolo has served as the Director of Infrastructure and Business Strategy and most recently as the Director of Federal Grants Strategy and Coordination on a detail assignment to FirstNet, an independent authority within the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (“NTIA”) at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, Jessica co-led a team of technical, financial, program management and procurement senior specialists assigned to develop an acquisition strategy governing the deployment of FirstNet. Ms. Zufolo explained to the audience the status of FirstNet including the anticipated upcoming Request for Proposal to construct the nationwide FirstNet system.
